The Ashiatsu Process

The Ashiatsu Process

Ashiatsu massage isn't for everyone. It can lead to weight growth and stress to the body. Women who are pregnant or trying to conceive shouldn't take part in this treatment for therapeutic reasons. Additionally, those with higher blood pressure, diabetes, compromised immune function or chronic liver and kidney issues, are taking certain medications, or are on antibiotics which may have triggered off symptoms, or are taking blood thinners (anticoagulants) ought not to take this treatment. For those suffering from tendonitis, arthritis, bursitis cysts, and a variety of other conditions that do not appear to be cured with conventional methods, they should steer clear of Ashiatsu too. This is not because these conditions indicates that there is an ongoing threat, but because the treatment places excessive stress on the body and can aggravate existing conditions.

What will happen during and following the Ashiatsu session is that the masseuse will start working on the patient's back before working on their legs and various other areas of the body. The masseuse will begin by gently massaging the back while the patient is lying on the table. They may also opt to concentrate on specific areas like the neck or feet based on how severe the injury or pain is.

The Ashiatsu foot pressure point treatment utilizes pressure from below the heel to cause it to roll back towards the feet. The purpose of this rolling motion is to ease the pressure on nerves that are located near and under the heel. The practitioner then applies additional pressure downwards to the same pressure point on the opposite side. The combination of pressing down on the heels and rolling causes the nerve to relax and allow the patient to move freely. As a side benefit the Ashiatsu practitioner can also utilize the rolling movement to stretch tight calves and hamstrings.

Shiatsu, one of the Japanese massage technique, is an ancestor of Ashiatsu. However, it employs different pressure points to the Japanese version. The Ashiatsu technique employs three main strokes in order to perform the massage technique. These strokes include the circular motions, the downward strokes and the upward strokes. Each of these strokes have their own purpose and purpose in the therapy session and is used to treat different conditions.

The upward stroke is often the first part of Ashiatsu in its attempt to relax and ease tension. It is used to loosen the ribs which is the main location where pain is typically concentrated. The pain will ease when tension is reduced. While the downward strokes are similar, they can affect different ways the Ashiatsu practitioner treats the patient. Because of its direction this particular stroke could cause some patients to feel worse rather than better because of its lack of direction.

The primary goal of the circular Ashiatsu is to stretch the muscle. This makes the muscle fibers more flexible and relieve any tension. If the muscle isn't stretched enough, it could become tight, causing more discomfort. It is crucial for the massage therapist to determine the proper pressure to apply to the patient. The more force that is applied to the muscle, the more likely it will be to pull at the muscles, causing more discomfort.

The therapist is able to apply enough pressure to the muscle tissue to lift it from the bone and into the abdominal cavity.  https://blogfreely.net/jamjam8/different-types-of-massage This brings the muscle parts closer to the heart, which increases circulation. The increased blood flow transports oxygen and nutrients to different body parts. Ashiatsu can be relieved by an increase in circulation.

The pressure applied during Ashiatsu is not felt by the patient if done correctly. If the practitioner applies too much pressure without releasing it, they can actually pull the muscles into the bone where they are placed below the muscle. This is referred to as "pulling the bones". It is very painful, and could lead to fractured bones if the force is too strong.
